Well, let me tell you about this astrology and 9/11 thing, you know, like them city folks talk about. I ain’t no scholar or nothin’, just an old woman who’s seen a thing or two.
What is this “Astrology” Anyways?
Some folks say the stars and planets up there can tell you what’s gonna happen down here. They call it “astrology.” Like, if some planet is in a certain spot, you gonna have good luck or bad luck. Me? I don’t rightly know. Seems kinda far-fetched, like those city fellas with their fancy ideas.
They say some folks are more “susceptible” to this astrology stuff. Means if you believe it, maybe it’ll work for ya. But if you got your head on straight, you ain’t gonna let no planet tell you what to do. You decide your own life, right? That’s what my pappy always said, bless his soul.
Now, I heard some say their horoscopes came true, but others just think it’s all a bunch of hogwash. Scientists, they done looked into it, spent a whole lotta money, and they say it’s just random. Like flippin’ a coin. Sometimes you get heads, sometimes you get tails. No rhyme or reason to it.
And then there’s 9/11…
That 9/11, that was a terrible day. Planes flying into them big buildings in New York City. And more trouble in Washington and Pennsylvania. Lots of good folks lost their lives. We ain’t never gonna forget that day.
Some folks started lookin’ at the stars, tryin’ to make sense of it all. They said, “Maybe astrology predicted it!” Well, I don’t know about that. Seems to me, bad things just happen sometimes. You can’t always blame it on the stars.
- One fella even wrote a whole thing about 9/11 and astrology. Said the stars lined up in a certain way.
- But like I said, I’m just a simple woman. I don’t understand all that fancy talk.
The Number 11
Then there’s that number 11. It keeps poppin’ up. 9/11, you see? And some say 11 is a powerful number in somethin’ called numerology. They say it’s a good number, like the number 2. But then, bad things happened on 9/11. So, is it good or bad? Makes your head spin, don’t it?
All Kinds of Theories
You know, after somethin’ big happens, folks start talkin’. They come up with all kinds of ideas. Some said it wasn’t even planes that knocked down them towers, but bombs! Can you believe it? Others made movies about it, even cartoons. It’s like they can’t stop thinkin’ about it, tryin’ to figure it out.
What I Think
Me, I think some things just ain’t meant to be understood. Life’s a mystery, like my grandma used to say. You just gotta keep on livin’, try to be good to folks, and hope for the best. Blamin’ the stars or the numbers ain’t gonna change nothin’. It’s what’s in your heart that matters.
Can Astrology Really Predict the Future?
Now, them scientists, they say astrology can’t predict the future. And I reckon they’re right. If them astrologers could really see the future, wouldn’t they have warned us about 9/11? Wouldn’t they have saved all them lives? But they didn’t. So, maybe it’s just like them psychologists say, people believe what they want to believe.
So, that’s my two cents on this whole astrology and 9/11 thing. Take it or leave it. I’m just an old woman, and I ain’t got all the answers. But one thing I know for sure: we gotta remember 9/11, remember them folks we lost, and try to make the world a better place. That’s what really matters, not some stars or numbers.
