I heard people talk about this astrology hashtags. What’s that? My grandson always plays with his phone. He said that is Instagram. I don’t know what that is. Too fancy for me. I just know my chickens and my vegetables. But this astrology, I kinda know.
Back in the day, we look at the stars. We don’t have this hashtag thing. We just look and see. The stars, they tell you things. Like when to plant, when it’s gonna rain. That’s what old folks do. Now, this hashtag, it’s like, you put a word after that #. Like #astrology, right?
What is this astrology?
This astrology is about the stars and planets. Like the sun, the moon, all them things up there. People say they affect us down here. I don’t know, maybe they do.
- Some people born in certain month, they say they are one sign.
- Like, if you born in summer, you are maybe a Leo.
- They say, Leos are strong, like a lion.
Then there’s this hashtag thing. You put #leo, if you wanna talk about Leo. You put #cancer, if you wanna talk about Cancer. It’s all very confusing to me.
Why people use these hashtags? I don’t really get it. My grandson, he said it’s to find things. Like, if you wanna see all the things about astrology, you search for #astrology. Then you see all the posts. Oh, those young people and their phones.
I guess it is good for some folks to find what they looking for. If you like astrology, you can find many people talking about it. You can find posts about your sign. I guess that’s neat.
Using Hashtags for Astrology
My grandson, he always says, “Use the right hashtag!” I don’t really know what’s right or wrong. But he said, some hashtags are more popular. Like, many people use them.

- #horoscope, this one too.
- #zodiac, that’s another one.
If you use these popular ones, more people see your post. That’s what he said. I don’t know how that works. Magic, maybe?
He also said, don’t use too many hashtags. Like, don’t put a hundred of them. That’s too much. People don’t like that. Just a few, he said. Maybe five, maybe ten. Not too many, not too few.

But I guess, for these young people, hashtags are important. If you wanna talk about astrology on that Instagram, use these hashtags. Maybe you’ll find other people who like stars and planets. Maybe you’ll find people who are the same sign as you. I guess that’s a good thing.
This world is changing. We used to just look at the sky. Now, we look at our phones. These hashtags, they are like the new way of looking at the stars. I don’t fully understand it. But if it makes people happy, then I guess it’s okay. Just don’t forget to look up at the real stars sometimes. They are still there, you know. They are still beautiful. And they don’t need a hashtag.
