So, the other day I was scrolling through my socials, and I kept seeing all these cool things about astrology. You know, zodiac signs, horoscopes, the whole nine yards. And it got me thinking, wouldn’t it be awesome to have some cool stuff that shows off my sign? That’s when I got this big idea to make my own astrology merch. I mean, why not, right?
First things first, I started by brainstorming what kind of stuff I wanted to make. T-shirts were an obvious choice, everyone loves a good tee. But I also thought about stickers, because who doesn’t love sticking those things everywhere? Then I considered posters, home decor, and even some drinkware. I wanted a good variety, something for everyone, you know?
Next, I needed some designs. I doodled a bit myself, but let’s be honest, I’m no artist. So, I looked around online for some inspiration. I found a bunch of independent artists who make amazing astrology-themed designs. I spent hours checking out their stuff, and I gotta say, there are some seriously talented people out there. They had everything from minimalist designs to super detailed and colorful ones. I even found a few artists who were willing to do custom work, which was super cool.
Design Selection
- Looked for artists online.
- Found a variety of styles.
- Considered custom designs.
After I had a good idea of the designs I wanted, I started researching where I could get my merch made. I checked out a few different print-on-demand services. Basically, they let you upload your designs, and they handle all the printing, packaging, and shipping. I compared prices, quality, and shipping times, and eventually settled on a couple that seemed pretty reliable.
Then came the fun part – picking out the actual products. I decided to start with a small batch of t-shirts and stickers, just to test the waters. For the t-shirts, I chose a few different styles and colors, and for the stickers, I went with a mix of individual zodiac signs and some more general astrology-themed designs.
Production
- Researched print-on-demand services.
- Compared prices and quality.
- Chose products to start with.
Once everything was set up, I placed my first order. It was a bit nerve-wracking, not gonna lie. But a few weeks later, my first batch of merch arrived, and I was so excited! The t-shirts looked great, the colors were vibrant, and the prints were high quality. The stickers were awesome too, and I immediately stuck them on my laptop and water bottle.
Now, I’m in the process of setting up a little online shop to sell my creations. It’s been a lot of work, but it’s also been really fun and rewarding. I’m learning a lot about design, production, and marketing, and I’m excited to see where this little project takes me. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll have a whole line of astrology merch! Fingers crossed, right?
