Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this idea of, like, combining food and astrology, right? Sounds kinda out there, but I figured, why not? So I started this little project of making a food astrology book.
First off, I gathered a bunch of astrology books, mostly by K.N. Rao and Dr. K.S. Charak ’cause someone told me they’re the best. I also found some online courses, which was cool. These books are packed with examples, which really helps to understand how to use these principles. I started jotting down notes, trying to link each zodiac sign with different foods. Like, what would a typical Aries like to eat? What’s a good comfort food for a Cancer?
Then, I started experimenting in my own kitchen. I’d pick a sign and try to come up with a dish that I thought matched its traits. It was a lot of trial and error, and my kitchen got pretty messy, not gonna lie. But it was fun! I made a spicy curry for Aries and a creamy pasta bake for Cancer, just to give you an idea. This one time, I tried to create a dish for each zodiac sign, I made so many dishes that I can’t eat them all in a week!
I wrote down every recipe, how I came up with it, and what the connection was to the zodiac sign. It started to look like a real cookbook. I even added some basic astrology info, so people who don’t know much about it could still get into it. It was like putting together a big, delicious puzzle.
After a while, I had this pretty decent collection of recipes and astrology tidbits. I thought, “Hey, maybe I can actually turn this into a book.” So, I started organizing all my notes, typing them up, and even took some photos of the dishes I made. And I designed the book layout by myself in these days, I like to do things myself.
I showed it to a few friends, and they thought it was a neat idea. Some of them even tried out the recipes and gave me feedback. That was super helpful. Based on their comments, I tweaked some recipes, added a bit more explanation here and there.
Now, I’m at the point where I’m thinking about self-publishing or maybe finding a publisher. It’s a bit daunting, but I’m pretty excited about it. I mean, who knows, maybe this quirky idea will actually be something people enjoy. I’ll make it available online first, so maybe you can get it easier.
So, yeah, that’s my food astrology book journey so far. It’s been a wild ride, full of cooking, learning, and a whole lot of fun. And I can’t wait to share it with you guys!
- Don’t be afraid to combine different interests – You never know what cool ideas you might come up with.
- Trial and error is part of the process – Especially when experimenting with recipes.
- Feedback is gold – It really helps to get other people’s perspectives.
- Just go for it – Even if an idea seems a bit out there, it’s worth pursuing.
