Okay, so the other day I was messing around with tarot cards, right? I’ve always been kind of curious about them, but never really knew how to use them. A friend suggested I try doing a simple “yes or no” reading, so I thought, why not give it a shot?
First, I grabbed my deck and shuffled the cards while thinking about a specific question I had. I made sure to really focus on the question, trying to keep my mind clear of any other thoughts. The question was kind of personal, something I’d been wondering about for a while now, but I won’t go into the details here.
Then, I spread the cards out in front of me, face down. I took a deep breath and flipped over the top card. Now, this is where it got interesting. I’ve heard that different cards can have different meanings, and some are generally seen as “yes” cards, while others are more “no” cards. But I also read somewhere that it’s not always that straightforward. The meaning of a card can depend on the context, the other cards around it, and your own intuition.
The Card I Pulled
- The Nine of Cups: I pulled the Nine of Cups. After looking it up, I found it’s often called the “wish fulfillment” card. It’s supposed to be a super lucky card to draw, indicating that things are going to go your way.
So, based on the card I pulled, I took it as a “yes” to my question. It felt pretty good to get that kind of positive affirmation, even if it’s just from a deck of cards. I mean, who doesn’t want to hear that their wish is about to come true?
But I also know that tarot isn’t about predicting the future with 100% accuracy. At least, that’s not how I see it. For me, it’s more about gaining a new perspective on a situation, or tapping into my own intuition. It’s like having a conversation with myself, using the cards as a prompt.
Anyway, that was my little experiment with “yes or no” tarot. I might try it again sometime, just to see what other insights I can glean. It’s a fun way to explore my thoughts and feelings, and maybe, just maybe, get a little guidance along the way.
