Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with this “Lords of the Houses” thing in astrology. Honestly, I’m not a pro at this stuff, but it sounded interesting, and I figured, why not give it a shot? Plus, I had some free time on my hands, and who doesn’t love a good experiment, right?
First, I grabbed my birth chart. You know, the one with all the lines and symbols that look like some ancient code. I’ve used some websites before to get it. Easy peasy. Getting your birth chart is like step one, like, you can’t really do anything without it.
Figuring Out the Houses
Next, I had to figure out what all these “houses” were about. Apparently, there are 12 of them, and each one represents a different area of life, such as money, relationships, career, all that jazz. I jotted down some notes about each house, just to keep things straight in my head. Like, the first house is all about “self” and how you appear to others, and the second is about possessions and finances, and so on.
- First House: Self, appearance
- Second House: Money, possessions
- Third House: Communication, siblings, neighbors, short journeys
- Fourth House: Home, family, roots
- Fifth House: Creativity, children, romance, fun
- Sixth House: Work, health, daily routines, pets
- Seventh House: Partnerships, marriage, committed relationships
- Eighth House: Shared resources, transformation, other people’s money, death, rebirth
- Ninth House: Higher education, philosophy, long journeys, religion, beliefs, foreign travel
- Tenth House: Career, public image, reputation
- Eleventh House: Friends, groups, hopes, dreams, aspirations
- Twelfth House: Subconscious, hidden things, self-undoing, confinement
Finding the Rulers
Then came the fun part – finding the “ruler” of each house. It was a bit messy here. Each house is ruled by a sign, and each sign is ruled by a planet. It’s all kinda connected. For example, Aries rules the first house, and Mars rules Aries, so Mars is the ruler of the first house. I had to keep flipping back and forth between my notes on the houses and the signs and their ruling planets, making sure I was doing it right.
Putting It All Together
Once I had all the rulers figured out, I started to piece it all together. I looked at where each ruling planet was located in my chart, which house it was in. This is supposedly where you can see how different areas of your life are connected. Like, if the ruler of your 7th house of relationships is in your 10th house of career, it might mean that your relationships are somehow tied to your career, or that you meet partners through work, or something along those lines.
Took me a while, but I managed to go through all 12 houses and their rulers. I made a lot of notes and wrote down all the rulers and their positions in my chart. I scribbled all over a piece of paper, trying to make sense of it all. To be honest, some of it resonated with me, like, it kinda made sense with what’s going on in my life right now. But other parts were a bit confusing, and I wasn’t really sure what to make of them.
So, yeah, that was my little adventure with the “Lords of the Houses.” It was a fun way to spend an afternoon, and it definitely got me thinking. I’m not saying I’m an astrology expert now or anything, but it was cool to see how everything is connected in the birth chart. Maybe I’ll try this again sometime, see if I can dig deeper into it. Who knows, maybe there’s something to this astrology stuff after all!
