Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to try out this “love triangle” tarot spread for a while now. I finally got around to it today, and let me tell you, it was…interesting. I mean I went through the whole process from preparing the environment to doing this.
First things first, I gotta set the mood, right? I cleared off my desk, lit some candles, and put on some chill music. Then I grabbed my favorite tarot deck and gave it a good shuffle while focusing on the, uh, “situation” I wanted to explore. You know, the classic “person A, person B, and me in the middle” kind of deal. Or maybe you don’t know, if so, you must feel so confused, but don’t worry, I was also confused before I started doing this.
This spread uses five cards. So, I laid them out in a sort of V-shape. The first card is supposed to represent me, my feelings, and where I’m at in this whole mess. The second and third cards represent the other two people involved, their feelings, their perspectives, and what the heck they want. The fourth card is the dynamic between me and person A, and the fifth card is the dynamic between me and person B. I spent a lot of time shuffling cards and making sure the environment was right.
Shuffle and Layout
I took my time shuffling the cards, really trying to connect with the energy of the situation. Then I spread them out face down and chose my five cards. I flipped them over one by one, taking a moment to look at each card and see what jumped out at me. I think the most important part of doing this is shuffling the cards, and I spent a lot of time doing this.
The Reading
- Card 1 (Me): I got the “Five of Cups”, which usually means disappointment, loss, and focusing on the negative. It kind of represents me at the moment and tells me some information about my current situation. I can’t say I was surprised.
- Card 2 (Person A): This one was the “Knight of Swords.” Driven, ambitious, maybe a little reckless. Okay, I can see that. I have some mixed feelings about this person, but I’m trying to be objective and get some helpful information.
- Card 3 (Person B): “The Empress.” Nurturing, creative, connected to nature. Definitely fits. Also, I don’t have any bad feelings about this person.
- Card 4 (Me & Person A): “Three of Wands.” Looking to the future, expansion, waiting for something to come to fruition. Hmm, interesting. We’ll see how it works out.
- Card 5 (Me & Person B): “The Lovers.” Well, that’s on the nose, isn’t it? Choices, harmony, a strong connection. It felt like a good match to me.
My Thoughts
Honestly, I’m still processing it all. It’s not like the cards gave me a clear-cut answer or told me what to do. But they did give me some things to think about. Like, why am I so focused on the negative aspects of this situation (thanks, “Five of Cups”)? And is the “Knight of Swords” really as reckless as he seems, or is there more to him than meets the eye? I guess I still have a lot of thinking to do.
Overall, it was a worthwhile experience. Even if I don’t have all the answers now, I feel like I have a better understanding of the situation and the people involved. I have to say, it’s a bit of a mess to do all of this. Plus, I think I might try this spread again in a few weeks, just to see if anything has changed. Tarot is weird, man. You never really know what you’re gonna get, but this time I got something useful. I think I will practice more to improve myself.
