Alright, alright, let’s talk about this… uh… tarot card horoscope spread thing, ya know? My old bones ain’t used to such fancy words, but I’ll tell ya what I know, the way I know it.
So, these tarot cards, they ain’t just pretty pictures, no sirree. They’re like… windows, I guess. Windows into what might be comin’, or what’s already here but you ain’t seein’ it yet. Like lookin’ at the weather before you go out, only this weather’s in your life, not the sky.
Now, there’s all sorts of ways to lay these cards out, ya hear? Some folks, they just pull one card. Quick and easy, like flippin’ a pancake. That’s your one-card spread, they call it. Simple, but sometimes that’s all you need. Like if you just wanna know if the day’s gonna be good or bad, you know?
Then there’s them bigger spreads, the ones that tell ya a whole story. Like the one with thirteen cards, they say it’s real comprehensive and enlightening. Sounds like a mouthful to me, but I reckon it means it tells you a whole heap of stuff. Where you been, where you goin’, what’s botherin’ ya, all that. Too much information for my old head, if you ask me.
- But the ones I mostly hear about are the three-card spreads. Easy to remember, easy to understand. Even an old woman like me can get the hang of it.
- One way they do it is “body, mind, spirit.” Sounds like somethin’ the doctor would say, right? But it’s about you, what your body’s feelin’, what your mind’s thinkin’, and what your spirit’s…well, I guess it’s like your soul, your deep-down feelin’s.
- Another way is “past, present, future.” Now that one makes sense, even to me. What happened, what’s happenin’ now, and what’s gonna happen. Plain as day. Though, mind you, the future ain’t set in stone, they say. It’s more like…a guess, but a good guess, maybe.
And these cards, they got pictures on ’em, see? And each picture means somethin’. Like the sun, that’s happy, right? Means good things comin’. But then there’s the devil, and that ain’t so good. And the tower, that means somethin’s gonna fall apart, but maybe that’s a good thing in the long run, like gettin’ rid of the rot so somethin’ new can grow.
People been lookin’ at these cards for a long, long time, they say. Centuries, even. Guess folks always wanna know what’s comin’, huh? Can’t blame ’em. Life’s a bumpy road, and it’s nice to have a little map, even if it’s a map made of pictures.
Now, some folks, they do this daily tarot card reading, first thing in the mornin’. Like a cup of coffee for their soul, I guess. Helps ’em combat the bad energy, they say. And find some guidance. Specially in months like December, when it’s cold and dark and you’re thinkin’ too much.
So, how do you do it? Well, first you gotta get yourself a deck of these cards. Then you shuffle ’em up good, thinkin’ about what you wanna know. Then you lay ’em out in the spread you choose, whatever feels right. And then you gotta flip your cards, see? Turn ’em over, one by one. And then you view your reading, look at the pictures, and try to figure out what they mean. There’s books and stuff that tell ya, or you can just go by your gut.
It ain’t magic, not really. It’s more like… listenin’ to your own heart, but with a little help from the pictures. Like lookin’ at clouds and seein’ shapes, only these shapes got stories to tell. And remember, it’s just a glimpse into the future, not a promise. You still gotta live your life, make your own choices. But the cards, they can give you a little nudge in the right direction, maybe. Or maybe just somethin’ to think about while you’re sippin’ your tea. That’s all I got to say about it.
