Alright, let’s talk about this surgery stuff, you know, when’s the best day to get yourself sliced open. Some folks say it’s all about the stars and planets, like those fancy astrology people. I don’t know much about that, but I heard some things.
Best Days for Surgery, They Say
Okay, so they say some days are just better than others. Like, they got these “auspicious” dates, whatever that means. Sounds like something them city folks made up, but hey, if it helps, it helps. They talk about numbers like 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, and 13. But not just any 13, mind you, it’s gotta be that “Shukla Paksha” 13. Don’t ask me what that is, probably some moon thing.
Then there’s the days of the week. Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, those are supposed to be good. Makes you wonder about poor ol’ Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, huh? Guess they ain’t good enough for cuttin’ folks open. They also blabber on about “Nakshatras.” Sounds like a sneeze, if you ask me. But apparently, Ashwini, Mrigashira, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Shravan, and Visakha are the good ones. Don’t ask me to spell them again.
Some Other Things Them Smarty Pants Folks Say
Now, some other folks, the ones in the white coats, they got their own ideas. They say Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday are good for surgery, ’cause you get better care. More doctors and nurses around, I guess. Makes sense, you don’t want some sleepy doc poking around in you on a Sunday.
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: Good for care, they say.
- Weekends: Maybe not so good, not enough folks around.
But then you got these astrology folks again, saying they can pick a “personalized” good day for you. Like, they look at your stars or something and tell you when to go under the knife. They talk about using it for all sorts of things, not just surgery. Love, money, work, you name it. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me, but some folks swear by it. They even say some signs are more likely to get surgery, but I ain’t going into that. That’s a whole other kettle of fish.
What’s a Body to Do?
So, what do you do with all this information? Well, I reckon it’s up to you. If you believe in the stars and planets, go find yourself one of them astrology folks. They’ll probably charge you a pretty penny, but hey, it’s your money. If you trust the doctors more, then listen to them. They went to school for a long time, so they probably know a thing or two. Maybe ask your doctor when they think is the best time. They do this every day, they probably seen what works best.
My Two Cents
Me? I think the best day for surgery is the day you need it. If you’re sick or hurt, you gotta get it fixed, stars or no stars. But then again, it probably don’t hurt none to pick a good day if you can. If it makes you feel better, then it’s worth it. You know, peace of mind is a powerful thing. Just make sure you got a good doctor, that’s the most important thing in my book. And maybe say a little prayer, just in case. Can’t hurt, right?
Don’t Forget the Important Stuff!
And don’t go skimping on getting yourself ready for surgery neither. Eat good, rest up, and follow the doctor’s orders. That’s more important than any of this star gazing business if you ask me. And make sure someone you trust is around to help you out after. Surgery takes it out of you, you know. You’ll need someone to fetch you water and make sure you ain’t falling out of bed. And listen to what the doctors and nurses tell ya, don’t try to be no hero. They tell you to rest, you rest. They tell you to walk, you walk. That’s how you get better.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about this surgery stuff. Take it or leave it, it’s up to you. Just remember, the most important thing is to take care of yourself. And don’t be afraid to ask questions, whether it’s to the doctor or the stars.
