Okay, so, I’ve been digging into this whole “snakes in dreams” thing, especially from a Hindu astrology perspective. It’s wild, right? I mean, who even thinks about this stuff?
So, I started with a simple question: what does it mean when you dream about snakes, according to, like, the ancient Hindu way of looking at things? I figured, there’s gotta be something there, right? These old traditions are full of symbolism.
First, I did a dive into what snakes are all about in general. Turns out, there are, like, a gazillion types of snakes! I looked into all sorts of them – Colubridae, Vipers, Lamprophiids, Elapids, and Boas. Not that I’m going to remember all that, but it was cool to see the variety. I even got into some specifics about snakes in California, Did you know there are 46 types there, and 7 are venomous? Yikes!
- Colubridae: the most common, found everywhere but Antarctica.
- Vipers: super interesting, all different from each other.
- Lamprophiids: really diverse in how they live and stuff.
- Elapids: venomous ones with fixed fangs. Scary!
- Boas: the ones people often have as pets.
I also stumbled upon the fact that snakes are actually reptiles, and some have, like, these remnants of legs. That’s just mind-blowing, isn’t it?
I mean, I’ve always kind of had a thing about snakes, you know? I find them creepy, with their long bodies and no legs. I mean, how do they even move around like that?
Digging into the Dream Part
Then came the real work, how do I figure out what this all means for dreams? I was trying to put myself into the mindset of someone who uses the web, and needs to understand something new.
I figured, to understand the dream stuff, you gotta understand, like, the symbols and all that. That was way more complicated than I thought! I read about how they are seen in some cultures. And I’m not even going to pretend I grasped all of it.
I spent an afternoon going through some articles that discussed different interpretations, and I was lost. I didn’t even take notes, to be honest, because it was just way too much for my brain. I did, however, spend time reading about naps and sleeping during the day, because I needed a break from the snakes. It’s actually good for you, apparently. Gives you energy and helps your brain. Who knew?
Honestly, the whole experience was kind of overwhelming. But, hey, I learned a few things, right? I’m still not sure what those snake dreams are all about, but at least now I know a bit more about snakes in general. And that napping is good for you. I feel like that’s a win, right?
