Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with tarot cards for a while now, mostly just for fun. But lately, I’ve been thinking about using them to get some insights into my love life. It’s kinda tricky, though, figuring out what to ask. I mean, you can’t just blurt out, “Will I ever find love?” or “Is he the one?” Well, I guess you could, but it probably won’t get you very far.
So, I started digging around, you know, just Googling stuff like “questions to ask tarot about love”. And let me tell you, there’s a lot out there. Some of it’s pretty out there, some is more down-to-earth. But it got me thinking about how to frame questions in a way that would actually give me some useful answers. I want something solid to understand my current situation.
I figured the first step was to think about what I really wanted to know. Did I want to find a new love? Or was I trying to figure out what was going on with that person who I had just met? Or did I want to know if I was on the right track with my current partner? I started to figure out how to use the cards as a way to understand what I wanted, first. This is what I did.
I decided to start with some general questions, just to get a feel for things. I shuffled the deck, focusing on my love life in general, and pulled a few cards.
- First question: “What energy is currently surrounding my love life?”. I pulled the two of cups card! What a great card to get.
- Next, I asked, “What do I need to know about my current situation?” I got the lovers, which made me think I might have some decisions to make, or maybe there’s a significant relationship coming up.
Then I got a bit more specific. Since I’m not actively looking for a relationship at the moment, but I did recently meet someone new, I decided to focus on that. I decided to try some questions about that person.
- I asked, “What’s this new person’s deal?”, just like that, plain and simple. The Empress showed up, which made me think they were probably nurturing, abundant, maybe a bit motherly.
- Then I asked, “What’s the potential with this person?” And bam, I pulled the Ace of Cups. New beginnings, emotional openness, could be something there! Or not!
I also tried some questions about attracting love in general, for when the time is right, since I’m not sure when I will be ready for a new relationship. So I shuffled again and asked:
- “What can I do to attract love into my life?” Got the Moon. Okay, that’s a bit more mysterious. Maybe it means I need to work on my intuition, or deal with some hidden fears. It’s not clear, but I have an idea.
- Then I tried, “What’s blocking me from finding love?” And I got, well, I don’t remember exactly, but it was something that made me think about past hurts and baggage I might be carrying around. This told me maybe I should work on my past first.
My takeaways
Honestly, it was a pretty interesting experience. I didn’t get any mind-blowing revelations, but it did give me some things to think about. It’s not about predicting the future, but more about reflecting on the present and understanding myself better. Like, maybe I need to let go of some old stuff before I can really open myself up to something new. Or maybe I need to trust my gut more when it comes to people. And maybe, just maybe, this new person might be worth paying attention to. We’ll see. I think I’ll keep doing these little tarot check-ins, just to see what comes up. It’s a fun way to explore my feelings and get a little guidance, even if it’s just from myself, in a way.
