Okay, so, I got into this whole astrology thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a trip. I decided to make my own astrology deck of cards, ’cause why not, right?
Getting Started
First off, I had to figure out what the heck I was doing. I knew there were a bunch of different tarot decks out there, like the Tarot of Marseilles, the Rider-Waite, and the Thoth Tarot. I mean, who knew, right? But I wanted to do something a bit different, more focused on astrology. So, I started digging around, trying to understand what astrology is really about. Apparently, it’s all about looking at the stars, the Sun, the Moon, and the planets to try and guess what’s gonna happen down here on Earth. Sounds wild, I know, but it was interesting for me to learn more about it.
The Process
Next, I had to figure out how these cards are supposed to work. Normally, someone asks a question, you pull a card or a few, and then you interpret what they mean based on the pictures and symbols, and how they relate to the question. I decided that I will pull cards myself, and I will pull three cards each time. I started thinking about what each card would represent in terms of astrology. I thought about the zodiac signs, the planets, and all that jazz. I made a list of all the things I wanted to include in my deck. It was a long list, let me tell you.
- Aries
- Taurus
- Gemini
- Cancer
- Leo
- Virgo
- Libra
- Scorpio
- Sagittarius
- Capricorn
- Aquarius
- Pisces
After I had my list, I started sketching out some ideas for the cards. I’m no artist, but I did my best to draw symbols that made sense for each sign and planet. I wanted the cards to look cool, but also be easy to understand. I tried a bunch of different designs until I found some that I liked.
Putting It All Together
Once I had all the designs figured out, I printed them out on some card stock. I know, fancy, right? Then I cut them out. Let me tell you, cutting out a whole deck of cards is no joke. My hand was cramping up by the end of it. But hey, I had my own deck of astrology cards! It felt pretty awesome to hold them in my hands after all that work. I even made a little box to keep them in, just to make it extra special. After that I arranged them in order and made sure each card was in the right place.
Using the Deck
Now, I’m still learning how to actually use these cards for readings. It’s a bit tricky, but I’m getting the hang of it. I’ve been practicing on myself, pulling cards and trying to figure out what they mean in relation to whatever’s going on in my life. It’s kind of like a fun little game, trying to connect the dots between the cards and reality. It’s definitely an interesting way to look at things, and it’s given me a new perspective on life. You should try it sometime, it’s pretty wild to see what you come up with.
